Senior Instructor - Albania SOF MTT

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a retired or former U.S. Army Special Forces Senior Sergeant (18Z), MSG to SGM, to serve as a Team Senior Instructor that will provide training to the Albanian Special Operations Forces (SOF) Battalion to include training Operational Detachments, Sniper Teams, and Battalion Staff in SOF core competencies, selected SOF skills, and other supporting or enabling skills as required. This Mobile Training Team (MTT) is being provided as part of a Security Assistance Training Program that directly supports U.S. Foreign Policy and the execution of Department of Defense Security Cooperation Plans and Programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-As a SOF Team Senior Instructor, the candidate will serve on a training team that will deploy to Zall Herr, Albania to provide instruction and training to Albanian SOF personnel
-The candidate will serve on an MTT that will train Albanian SOF Operators to a level equivalent to SF entry-level skill proficiency and prepare them for COIN and collateral SOF operations.
For over nine years, AMERICAN SYSTEMS has supported the delivery of training services to foreign military personnel in support of U.S. foreign assistance programs. We offer a very competitive compensation and benefit package and there are no upfront out of pocket expenses for persons hired. All travel and transportation arrangements will be made and paid for by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. Living expenses are paid by AMERICAN SYSTEMS with all employees living in the Albanian SOF barracks (austere individual rooms). Work is performed five days per week at the Albanian SOF compound and surrounding area. The individuals hired will be full-time salaried employees of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. There is no requirement/authorization to carry firearms outside of training requirements.
-Retired/former U.S. Army Special Forces Senior Sergeant (18Z) that held of the rank of MSG or SGM
-Operational Detachment and Battalion Operations experience required
-Must be capable of moving 20 miles with a 50 lb. rucksack in a mountainous environment
-Must be capable of running 3-5 miles at 8 minute miles
-Must be capable of conducting physical fitness training five days a week
-Must pass an Army APFT (age appropriate) with a score of 275 points or above
-Must be consistent with AR 670-1 Grooming standards and AR 600-9 Height and Weight standards in order to utilize Army uniforms and equipment in the performance of duties
-Must pass a comprehensive background check
-Must have OEF or OIF experience
-Must be knowledgeable of NATO SOF operational procedures
-Must have documented experience teaching SUT, AMOUT, and a broad scope of shooting techniques (zero/grouping, up/down drills, turn drills, known and unknown distance flat range work, doorways, windows, walls, stairwells, etc.)
-Must provide DD 214 to document experience and qualifications
-Must have successfully completed a medical physical exam within the last 12-months with no chronic conditions that would prevent performance of duties in a semi-austere, mountainous region with limited access to western standard" medical care
-Must present proof of recent (120 days) negative HIV test
-Must possess a current US Tourist Passport. (Passport must not expire within 12-months of being hired)
-Must be drug-free with ability to successfully pass drug screening test
-Must possess the ability to effectively conduct cross-cultural communications and deliver training/instruction with the use of an interpreter
- Must possess a BS/BA degree or the equivalent military and or technical training
-Must be a SELF-STARTER and work with little or no supervision after receiving the mission. Will understand the inherent challenges of training indigenous forces and be able to develop creative solutions to overcome those challenges
-Prior experience teaching foreign militaries in various environments (classroom and field) presenting light infantry skills and SF MOS specific training
-Prior experience as a military instructor in the related skill is highly desired
-Prior experience developing military instructional material
-Prior experience working with foreign military personnel in the region is highly desired
-Prior experience working in a Civil Affairs unit is highly desired
