POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides receptionist, computer operations, clerical duties, and communication flow for an assigned nursing unit. Assists the nursing care manager, staff nurses, physicians, ancillary department personnel, patients, and visitors within a level of knowledge to facilitate the continuous flow of patients, visitors, and staff and communication within the nursing station.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience as health unit coordinator and/or completion of approved unit clerk course or equivalent experience including knowledge of medical terminology.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Certified health unit coordinator.

POSITION SUMMARY:Medical/surgical cardiac unit is responsible for care of adult
medical/surgical patients. The RN utilizes physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual
knowledge to care for patients diagnosed with cardiac diseases which necessitate
medical and/or surgical interventions. The RN will be knowledgeable and skillful in
caring for the adult and geriatric cardiac medical/surgical population. He/she functions
as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team to meet the general needs of the cardiac
medical/surgical population.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
One year of experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION:
Registration and current RN license. Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS CPR or approved equivalent (must include infant through adult, one and two-man rescuer, use of AED, and choking with hands-on CPR skills return demonstration, and must be pre-approved by Org Dev/Human Resources) completed prior to employment.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION/ REGISTRATION:
ACLS certification.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Emergency Services Manager and directly supervised by the Registered Nurse. In collaboration with the care team and under the direction of the Emergency Services Physician and Registered Nurse (RN), gathers data and performs technical tasks as delegated by the Emergency Services Physician and RN as patient care needs dictate. Assists in data collection, provides input into the plan of care/CareProfile, reinforces teaching, including discharge instructions, and documents care delivered.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Completion of formal related training program(s): Phlebotomy Course, ACLS/PALS, PHTLS or BTLS, Basic Arrhythmia Course, IV Insertion Course/Education, EMT
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Two years of recent direct patient care in a healthcare facility.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience or training as a Patient Care Technician, Emergency Department Technician, or work time with an ambulance. Experience with cardiac monitors/monitor technicians, phlebotomy and IV insertion.
REQUIREDCERTIFICATION:Current CPR required. Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS CPR or approved equivalent (must include infant through adult, one and two-man rescuer, use of AED, and choking with hands-on CPR skills return demonstration, and must be pre-approved by Org Dev/Human Resources) completed prior to employment.
UNIT SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Within six months of employment must complete the Emergency Patient Care Technician checklist, 12 lead EKG validation, basic arrhythmia class, phlebotomy training/validation, splinting/casting skills/validation, and IV insertion training/validation.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Work requires the interpersonal skills necessary to comfort patients, family members and/or significant others. Possesses skills to communicate effectively, professionally and concisely with the care team; and to instruct patients, to support the mission of the Sisters of the Third Order and patient focused care. Excellent work ethic and demonstrates self motivation.

Works in collaboration with Regional Manager, Regional Clinical Services Manager and QSCP manager to ensure clinical staff are competent and to implement and evaluate Quality Safety and clinical practice initiatives; Leads projects to improve the quality of care, office/ site efficiency and satisfaction of those we serve. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Current license as an RN; Previous office/ ambulatory experience preferred; Project management and teaching/ training experience preferred; Interpersonal skills to build working relationships with physicians, managers and all members of the clinical care team; Advocate for patients and clinical staff; Organizational and analytical skills necessary to implement complex projects and changes within the region.
