Responsible for directing service projects or a multitude of service projects of ongoing service agreements and emergency service work within an assigned territory or market. The Area Service Manager manages all aspects of the projects, from beginning to end, with direct responsibility for project execution while leading a team, or teams, to accomplish specific objectives in a given time frame and with available resources. Typically requires an Associate''s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; four (4) to ten (10) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
*Execution of the Ingersoll Rand Trane Company vision and strategy
*Business planning for both immediate and long-term results
*AOP development and delivery of financial results
*Investment plan formulation and timing
*Participate in District Area Office Team selection, development, and ongoing performance improvement
*Creating an environment that enables associate personal growth, accountability, engagement, recognition, teamwork, mentoring, and excellence in execution.
*Proactive engagement of customers and Trane Associates in the development of Trane solutions.
*Ongoing monitoring and measuring of customer needs and customer satisfaction
*Development of contingency plans required for changing market conditions
*Staff performance appraisals, training and development recommendations and disciplinary actions
*Facilities planning for optimal profit and resource utilization
*Communications to executive management, territory leaders, peers, local leaders and associates
*Safety performance and compliance in such areas as EAP, EEO/AA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.
