JOB SUMMARY:
Assist in the development, modification and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems, maintaingood working relationships with business units in identifying and analyzing their needs, train their personnel, update applications and resolve user problems. This position assists with the analysis, design, planning, evaluation, installation, documentation, and education of the specified applications. Act as a liaison between assigned business units and Information Systems Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of three (3) years work experience in a healthcare setting supporting clinical information systems preferred. A trained, licensed medical professional (ie. MT, RT, LPN or RN, Pharmacy Technician) is preferred.
Associates degree in computer technology or other related discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience is required.
Broad knowledge of hospital operations and associate technologies.
Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and healthcare guides.
Requires a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and access to an automobile for occasional travel to off site locations.
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards including HL-7 and SQL.
Business Objects software experience a plus
Excellent ability to translate technical terminology for consumption by non-technical audiences.
Good familiarity with project management, quality assurance, and information systems design.
Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience with data management and database concepts to execute detailed level maintenance.
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
Awareness of current IT security standards, applicable privacy laws, HIPAA and JCAHO accreditation standards
Experience with Microsoft Project Software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
