Position Summary:
The fellowship combines work experience with the needs of the health system. Works under the direction of Corporate Director, Clinical Information Analysis to organize, monitor and improve data on cost, quality and service performance of the MBO. This individual assists MBO staff with structuring analyses of operations to help determine specific opportunities for MBO clinical performance improvement. Responsible for assisting leaders in developing and implementing performance improvement programs, implementing and maintaining databases and systems for measuring, monitoring and tracking MBO performance changes.
Position:
Download / process data from databases of clinical and billing data
Monitor/ pull data from external data sources for benchmarks
Update data for internal and external reports
Prepare summaries/ reports
Work with Director to monitor cost, quality, and service performance of the MBO
Provide analytical support to PI teams
Working Relationship:
This position will report to Corporate Director of CIA; no supervisory responsibilities.
Will work with PI teams, and personnel in Quality, Risk Management.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
MPH or MHA
Course work in statistics, research, or epidemiology
Strong computer skills
Familiarity with statistical software (e.g. SAS, SPSS, SYSTAT); expected to develop programming skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Ability to develop efficient and reliable methods of data processing
