Production Machine Programmer

Job Designation

The Production Machine Programmer, under limited supervision, supports all aspects of on-site programming for the manufacturing and machining operations. Provides technical support to production to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.

Job Core Responsibilities

+ Programs manufacturing equipment and creates components from design stage through the final manufacturing process

+ Specifies all associated fixture and tooling requirements

+ Delivers a solid understanding of machining, tooling, and computer aided manufacturing systems

+ Maintains up-to-date knowledge CNC machine tool capabilities and tooling in order to provide continuous process improvements, quality improvements, and cost reductions

+ Provides manufacturing assistance and expertise in addition to the regular support of manufacturing supervision and quality personnel

+ Participates on manufacturing and quality cross-functional teams and demonstrates a commitment to meeting scheduled release dates and customer requirements

+ Maintains a safe work environment, with an ultimate goal of zero accidents

+ Other responsibilities as assigned

+ Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2 years or more of relevant experience


+ Solid understanding of machining, tooling, and computer aided manufacturing systems

+ Strong programming, mathematics, analytical and problem solving skills

+ Experience in developing manufacturing process plans

+ Effective oral and written communication

+ Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

+ Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications
