QA Engineer Sr - Supply Chain - Supplier Quality

The position reports directly to the SOF CLSS Supplier Quality Engineering Manager.
Coordinates suppliers and verifies quality standards in accordance with task order technical data requirements.
Perform supplier audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, as well as actively participating in strategic development.
Serve as the liaison for suppliers, suggest structural quality and process improvements, and collaborate with other functional areas in a team environment.
Identifies technical problems with suppliers and implement corrective actions.
Possess a thorough knowledge and application of Lean Sigma techniques to improve supply chain performance.
Improve reliability, using engineering skills to execute tools for calibration systems, and regulate product transition requirements.
Maintain accurate quality records, certifications, and database screens.
Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion.
Manage process controls, establishing schedules for reviewing supplier and quality performance.
Measure readiness throughout the product development cycle.
Basic Qualifications
Supply Chain Experience Required.
Desired skills
- Technical degree from an accredited institution
- Familiar with Jobscope and/or GOLDesp
- Lean Sigma certification
- Demonstrated process knowledge and implementation of improving supply chain processes.
- Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems and specifications applicable to an aerospace environment.
- Ability to ID risks/opportunities and apply Lean and Six Sigma tools appropriately including performing root cause analysis and driving effective corrective action
- Facilitating Lean/Sigma activities.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Office - specific focus on MS Excel and Access data.
