Description
Job Purpose Statement:
Fabricate, finish and assemble high end appliance products. Operate a variety of machines and processes and assist in the set up to produce parts that conform to specifications with minimal variation. Ensure quality and safety whilesupporting the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Associates may be required to work in multiple job function groups.

Job Functions:
Assembly
* Perform all required assembly for work cells
* Finish each work station within the required time frame
* Perform quality checks
* Identify production issues that may cause quality, safety, or production delay concerns
* Must be able to operate a variety of machinery
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Fabrication
* Ability to set up dies for specific jobs
* Run parts to support the needs of assembly
* Operate brakes in an efficient and safe manner
* Perform basic machine maintenance work
* Material handling tasks such as removing flats from carts, loading finished parts on carts and moving to small parts area, moving scrap and rejected parts
* Deburs stainless and aluminized steel using deburring tool or other equipment
* Makes all small parts to specification using a variety of tools and equipment such as belt sander, fall sander, notcher, punch press, parts roller, hand brake, etc.
* Operates shear press machine to cut sheets
* Checks parts for proper dimensions and other key quality characteristics using calipers, protractor, etc.
* Set up/change tooling to produce required part
* Maintains sharpness of tooling
* Makes all small parts to specification using a variety of tools and equipment
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Finishing
* Using a variety of hand tools to finish products to a high standard of quality
* Smooth, finish and polish part for assembly of products
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Physical and Visual Activities:
* Standing on one location for long periods of time
* Visually inspect work for defects in parts and workmanship
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
* Ability to push and pull part carts
* Constant bending, twisting, griping and standing
* Lifting and changing of dies
* Use of a variety of hand tools such as grinders, sanders, and screw guns
* Ability to achieve production standards
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
* Must be able to work in a noisy environment
* Temperatures vary greatly depending on seasons
* Handling insulation
* Very mild exposure to metal shavings and dust
* Exposure to dust from grinding and buffing
Job Qualification Requirements:
* High School education or equivalent
* Able to work shift work
* Ability to learn quickly and cross train in different jobs functions
* Ability to follow detailed work instruction
* Good decision making skills essential
* Perform all required jobs in a safe manner
* Maintain clean and organized work station
* Prefer previous manufacturing experience
* Die setting and previous press operator experience a plus
* Any of the above requirements/qualifications may be waived for the successful candidate.
Knowledge/Experience:
* Good communication skills
* Fast Learner
* Must be able to read blue prints
* Basic computer skills required
* Must be able to use various hand tools
* Team Player
Machines, Tools Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software:
* Door fixture machine
* Overhead lift
* Use of a variety of powered hand tools such as grinders, sanders, screw/rivet guns, pneumatic nail/staple guns
* Use of basic tools, hammer, wrench are required to change out tooling
