Position Description
Lead the development of strategy and execution of commercial marketing programs intended to drive adoption of Medtronic CGM products among healthcare providers and patients in the U.S. market.
Position Responsibilities
Obtain alignment on the customer segmentation framework for CGM and develop the commercial plan outlining target segments and marketing programs to drive adoption.
Drive planning and execution of marketing programs targeted to healthcare providers and patients, with the intent of building awareness, engaging target customers, gaining commitment to use, and driving utilization .
Lead the launch of next generation CGM products.
Establish Marketing alignment on key strategies and tactics with market development, public relations, alliances, and external advertising agencies.
Cultivate relationships and obtain on-going feedback from healthcare providers, target patients, and field sales teams to develop marketing strategies and programs.
Establish a market research plan to understand customer needs and validate assumptions.
Establish and lead the collection of key program metrics to evaluate impact of marketing programs.
Function as in-house expert on CGM and represent the category in customer visits, sales meetings, convention planning and attend conferences as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 6 years of experience in a Marketing function
Work knowledge and experience in a Sales environment
Strong influential management skills
Previous experience working in a cross-functional matrix environment
Experience interfacing and presenting to all levels of the organization and to customers
Experience working with and managing external advertising agencies
Experience compiling and analyzing market research data and market analytics to develop a marketing strategy or a marketing program
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Highly skilled in Excel and able to create analysis and recommendations. Proficient in creating presentations.
Team player, honest, intellectually curious, pro-active, fast learner, positive attitude.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
MBA
3+ years of Product Marketing or Brand Marketing experience
2+ years working experience in the healthcare industry
Physician engagement and KOL program development experience
Product launch experience
Consumer marketing experience
2+ years experience working in the medical device industry
Experience selling medical device products
