The Division of Nursing Business Manager; reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, works directly with Clinical Nurse Managers and liaisons with Decision Support, Revenue Cycle, Finance and Nurse Staffing Departments. The Division of Nursing Business Manager supports fiscal stewardship and effectively collaborates with Clinical Nurse Mangers to ensure divisional budgeting, data collection, analysis and reporting, resource planning, staffing and acuity systems oversight through and leadership.
Education:BSN required. BSN with MBA strongly preferred.
Licensure:RN licensure required. Project Management Certification or Business Related Certification preferred.
Experience:Demonstrated experience in finance, data control, budgeting, staff scheduling, and information technology systems, related to the Division of Nursing. Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel (including pivot tables), and preferably Access. Demonstrates sensitivity when interacting with diverse groups. Primarily works on the day shift, but accountable to manage areas assigned on a 24-hour basis.
Additional Job Duties:Oversees development of Nursing Division operational, capital, and FTE budgets for approval by the Chief Nursing Officer. Monitors and oversees all staffing functions within the Division of Nursing to ensure efficiency, quality, and corporate compliance with regulatory guidelines. Creates and maintains statistics for divisional planning. Gathers pertinent data and develops/provides daily, bi-weekly and monthly reports to assist Clinical Nurse Managers to meet productivity expectations. Works collaboratively with Division of Nursing Director/Managers/House Supervisors/Staff in budget preparation/monitoring, and project coordination including continuing education programs. Provides Oversight of Information Technology Systems specific to Acuity (Pathways) and Scheduling (Staffways).
