* Reporting to the RC Health Information Management (HIM) Director, the RC Coding Manager of HIM, Medical Records and Coding is a newly created position responsible for administering the health information. Responsibilities include active and inactive health information and records. This position ensures patient data is maintained in accordance with accepted standards based on legal and regulatory requirements, best practice guidance and Adventist Health policy. Responsibilities include development and monitoring of systems to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures, record content analysis and use, disclosure and disposition of health information. Confidentiality and security of health information are maintained in accordance with current laws, regulations and the hospital information privacy program. The RC HIM Coding Manager should remain in full compliance with all departmental, institutional, and regulatory policies and procedures at all times.
