Represents KIRKWOOD to all guests, internal and external, with a professional, positive upbeat attitude, good grooming, and quality food and service.  Able to perform to expectations and provide a quality product in a timely manner while following food presentation guidelines as well as all food safety policies and procedures.
 
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Arrives on time, clean, in proper uniform including non-slip shoes and cap.
* Demonstrates an upbeat, positive attitude and acts and communicates in a professional manner.
* Able to perform at your station and keep up with volume levels.
* Make sure your station is adequately stocked for anticipated business levels.
* Ensure proper plate portioning and presentation are consistent.
* Ensures all recipes are adhered to and produced consistently and safely.
* Able to follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
* Keep your station clean and organized at all times.
* Able to follow given directions by supervisors.
* Immediate communication with supervisor with any equipment needs, product or employee issues.
* Cleans and re-stocks station between shifts.
* Completely cleans station, changes pans, wraps, dates and stores products properly at the end of the night.
* Ensures all equipment, walls, floors and walk-in are clean at the end of the shift.
* Completes closing checklist at the end of the night to assure that all duties have been completed.
* Is familiar with all cleaning solutions in use and is properly trained on the purpose and placement of the MSDS book.
* Abides by and upholds overall customer service standards. 
* Abides by and upholds kitchen departmental service standards. 
* Performs such other related duties as may be required or directed.
 
 
Requirements:
* 3 years culinary experience in a fast-paced environment required.
* Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to lift and carry 40+ lbs.
* Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
* Must have slip-resistant kitchen shoes.
* High school diploma or equivalent required. 
* Team oriented attitude is a must.
* California Foodhandler Certificate required.
* Must be fluent in English. 
 
Preferred skills:
* ServeSafe certified.
* Proper Knife Handling Skills.
