This position is responsible for working on general accounting functions in support of the North American Accounting and Planning team and the Manager, Corporate Accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ownership of various month-end close responsibilities
Prepare manual journal entries for various accounting transactions
Analysis of month-end results for several balance sheet and income statement accounts
Prepare monthly reconciliations and supporting schedules for numerous accounts
Oversee the control process for division account reconciliations
Assist with the development of forecasts/budgets for multiple entities
Assist with the coordination of tax return and tax provision activity to ensure timely filing and accounting
Assist with the coordination of external audit requirements
Financial statement preparation for joint ventures, ERISA plan filings and other external reporting requirements
Ensure adherence to ARPNA policy as it relates to the release of financial information
Other tasks, ad hoc financial analysis and projects as they arise
Education & Experience Required
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred; CPA (or equivalent experience) preferred
4+ years of increased responsibility in an accounting or finance role
Strong systems aptitude with preference given to candidates with SAP R/3 and Business Planning & Consolidation experience
Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
