Department Description: Thirty-two bed unit which has a high daily turnover rate. All patients are cardiac monitored. Most admissions are from the Emergency Department. Fifty percent are step down patients from ICU.
Job Summary:Under direct supervision, according to established procedures, accurately transcribes physician and nursing orders, maintains orderly and accurate patient records and supplies, and communicates appropriately.
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year Health Unit Coordinator, (Ward Clerk/Unit Secretary) experience or successful completion of a Health Unit Coordinator certificate program.
