Our Shared Services Organization is looking for International Trade Manager to lead U.S. and Canada customs activities to ensure full compliance with customs laws. The main responsibilities of the role are: Manage customs strategy and customs planning, including hiring and developing team Determine tasks currently performed in each division to transition to the SSC. Develop and maintain a Service Level Agreement with the divisions Insure effective transition of such tasks to the SSC Set policies and procedures Develop tools to support customs compliance Provide training to divisions and other departments regarding process steps needed to insure compliance Perform internal audits of customs related processes Supports audits of suppliers regarding compliance with Faurecia procedures Advise team of changes in import or export laws or regulations, import or export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements, quotas and other customs related matters. Oversee government audits and Customs and Border Protections inquiries as lead representative of Faurecia. Manage border petitions Manage powers of attorney and bonds Monitors trade programs Manage external expert support (e.g. Sandler and Travis) Manage customs broker issues on a macro level (e.g. drive consistency in divisions) Oversees certification initiatives (e.g. CTPAT) Interface with Mexico counterpart to insure efficient and cooperative approach Take lead role in free trade zone control issues
