JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the direction and supervision of the delivery of quality patient care through the efficient management of material, financial and human resources. The Nurse Manager has 24-hour accountability for the management of assigned patient-care areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in health related field is required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Must possess a current license to practice nursing in theCommonwealthofPennsylvania.
CPR certification is required.
Previous management experience at charge nurse level or above required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for contact with employees, patients, families, community, and medical staff.
Must possess ability to successfully interact with stakeholder (patients, providers, payors and community) and other customers, families, staff, management, physicians and general public.
Membership in related professional association is preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience is required in medical/surgical or critical care.
Clinical certification in medical/surgical preferred.
