JOB SUMMARY: At the direction of the Radiology Clinical Operations Manager and the Administrative Director, direct the activities and functions of assigned section(s) in the Radiology department. Participate in standards of practice and process improvement activities. Engage in hiring process, interview, recommend employment, and coordinate training of new employees and students in tandem with section team members. Oversee daily productivity, and guide staffing schedule to ensure appropriate levels of coverage on all shifts. Maintain knowledge and engage in ongoing updates relevant to electronic medical record, regulations and licensure requirements for technical staff and application and maintenance of accreditation as relevant to section.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of Radiology/Medical Imaging and/or a minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership/management experience in an imaging facility. Current certification in BLS required. Possess active, current registration and/or licensure credential in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Vascular-Interventional, Magnetic Resonance, Computed Tomography, Mammography and /or Bone Densitometry (DXA) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Nurse with current licensure.
