ITT Exelis is looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer in Clifton, New Jersey.
The selected candidate will perform the following duties:
Provides engineering support to product flow teams, accountable for schedule commitments and process specifications, routings, and manufacturing instructions. Demonstrates knowledge and familiarity with MIL and Aerospace standards, and ensures these processes, or the internal Command Media processes have been incorporated in the process inputs.
Provides cost estimates, as well as RFQ and Procurement Requests for component fabrication, and tooling. Tracks procurement of these receivables, and supports Supply Chain requirements for revision tractability. Apply standard manufacturing analysis techniques such as flowcharting, Pareto analysis, cause & effect diagrams, root cause, and contribute in material and failure review board meetings. Works with Design Team to ensure DFM and lessons learned have been incorporated into the design requirements.
Required Experience: .B.S. degree, preferably in Engineering or in a technical area of science and research with 7+ years work experience required
.Strong written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations required
.Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and develop tooling, equipment or fixtures that are required to manufacture the product required
.Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally required
.Willingness to travel to other facilities within the USA for extended durations as needed required
Desired Skills: .Experience with solid modeling, Pro Engineer
.Project Manager Experience, ability to initiate projects from inception through installation; and project effectiveness evaluation
.Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
.Software development, C++, or Java
.M.S. degree, preferably in Engineering or in a technical area of science and research
