Minimum five years of civil/structural design experience for industrial projects.
Must be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana or able to obtain after hire.
Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Travel to field project locations with lead designers or engineers to make field sketches, take dimensions, etc. is required.

Assignments will focus primarily on structural engineering and some civil engineering for heavy industrial. Typical clients will be in the chemical, petrochemical, petroleum refining, or commercial power industries.
Successful candidate will:
. Lead medium to large projects requiring support staff under his/her direction
. Perform design tasks in accordance with accepted engineering standards utilizing both manual and computer based methods
. Develop new ideas or alter existing designs to meet special needs where no standard application will fulfill project requirements
. Execute his/her work in accordance with project schedules and coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines and the project manager
. Assist in preparation of specifications and the development of design standards
. Check drawings, shop drawings, and vendor prints for completeness and clarity
