This newly created and exciting role joins the experience of a 5 year practicing Finance attorney and their desire to serve as a Lexis Practice Advisor practice area expert by developing product recommendations and a strategy that supports learning for those involved in theFinance area of law. Recent and intimate knowledge of Acquisition Finance, Bank Lending, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Structured Finance and Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Hedge Funds, as well as legal process and associate workflow is sought to enable and inform strategic direction and content development for a LexisNexis' new product offering Lexis Practice Advisor.
Main Objectives of the Role:
. To lead a multi-disciplined team of content developers, product managers and external consultants, while engaging with marketing, sales and business owners, to deliver a compelling offering for Finance attorneys.
. To develop and own the practice area approach during each phase of product development.
. To identify, develop, edit and/or create content necessary to the product offering.
. To support expert authors contributing content to the product offering.
. To drive continual improvement in our offer to establish and maintain a market-leading approach across the Finance area of law.
. To ensure that through personal and team networks (internal and external) our product strategy exceeds client and market requirements.
. In summary, this role is responsible for all customer facing aspects for the product offering including:
practice areas and topics, formats, need for contributing experts, creation and direction of content, content reviews by customers, customer facing messaging/marketing, sales and customer training.
Detailed Role Description:
. Develop recommendations for overall product content concepts and modifications in support of product content and related tools strategy. Oversee the development of product content requirements and functional specifications to insure that the organization's product/market strategy is followed and implemented.
. Facilitate action by orchestrating a cross functional team to execute on the product content and product development strategies. Maintain and manage relationships with key stakeholders to negotiate resources, deadlines, project trade-off decisions as appropriate
.Develop content and work material that supports product concepts and product strategy.
. Recruit external authors and contributors to produce content for solution.
. Review, edit and/or write content materials. Provide analytic review of content by editing and writing practice area focused information.
. Assist in process to ensure that customers are satisfied with the performance of practice area specific LN content and products. Monitor competitiveness of product and analyze customer feedback, proposing changes to create broader business opportunity and customer satisfaction. Benchmark new opportunities for existing content and services to ensure resources are correctly allocated.
. Manage costs and resource allocation against assigned budget.
. Involvement in demonstrating product to customers by gathering and acting upon customer feedback in relation to all product/content developed.
. Identify new commercial opportunities and ways of packaging content and products together.

Skills & Experience:
. Attorney with 5 years' experience in transactional law in the area of Finance and financial areas including Acquisition Finance, Bank Lending, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Structured Finance and Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Hedge Funds, and deep knowledge of trends and workflow in transactional practice and markets.
. Strong network of external people and programs that could inform direction of product.
. Top-notch communication and presentation skills, including the ability to meet and present to internal or external senior executives, be credible and inspire confidence.
. Proven ability to partner in developing, enhancing and communicating product/solutions strategies.
. An ideal candidate will have led or participated in associate programs or new attorney training programs.
. Prior experience presenting CLEs is a plus.
. Strong, practical writer with law journal experience and experience in drafting client alerts, practical guidance and CLE presentations.
. Proven ability to partner in developing, enhancing and communicating product/solutions strategies.
. Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work in a detail-oriented environment.
