ABC News Digital is hiring an Entertainment Editor who has a passion for pop culture. The Entertainment Editor is responsible for generating original story ideas, reporting and producing stories and videos, and managing a small team of staff and freelancer writers. The ideal candidate has at least 5-7 years'' experience or more in entertainment coverage, has strong digital expertise, a vast knowledge of the entertainment industry and a robust list of contacts who he/she can call to break news. The Entertainment Editor should have excellent editorial skills and news judgment and be just as adept in breaking news situations as he/she is with generating feature and franchise ideas. The Entertainment Editor is also responsible for building the ABC News entertainment brand and coming up with new and unique ways to set us apart from the competition. Candidates should be familiar with content management systems and understand the basics of web analytics, SEO and social media. On-camera experience is a plus!
Basic Qualifications A minimum of three years of working experience
A minimum of one year of digital experience
Preferred Qualifications .A minimum of 5-7 years'' experience in entertainment coverage
