Global Markets - Senior Executive Assistant

Provides administrative support in a timely and professional manner. Supporting an extremely busy trading floor.
*Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:*
* Provides general administrative support, including:
* Answering phones
* Attends to e-mail / mail correspondence & distribution
* Maintains calendar, schedules appointments, books conference rooms, arranges equipment
* Types memos/reports/prepares power point presentations, etc.
* Maintains files
* Coordinates travel
* Prepares expense reimbursements / invoices for payment
* Makes photocopies / faxes
* Participates in special projects, as requested
* Assists employees and other members of staff with information as needed
* Adheres strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices; reports control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events
* Supports the Company's Diversity programs.


* 10 years proven administrative experience, at least 3-5 covering an Executive Level Manager
* Excellent typing, proficiency with personal computers and pertinent mainframe systems/software
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
* Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and external parties
* Ability to exercise discretion on confidential matters
* 5 years' experience working in Financial Services, preferably on a Trading Floor Environment
