The Strategic Re-engineering Program (SRP) is an Investment Banking cross-business Effort focused on streamlining both Business and Technology. Currently, a significant portion of the Investment Bank's technology foundation is a portfolio of one-off systems and heritage platforms from multiple mergers. The SRP's goal is to create a best-in-class environment that will be flexible, decrease development time and prepare the IB to respond to regulatory changes. 'The SRP is our roadmap to becoming a smart, agile, cost-efficient producer of business-centric solutions that creates competitive advantage for the Investment Bank, and which is highly valued by our business partners' said Peter Cherasia, the global head of Technology & Operations.
The Athena Program is a banner Initiative under SRP. The Initiative is focused on re-engineering and consolidating all components of the FX Business across Front and Middle Offices as well as the Technology footprint in supporting each.
Qualifications:
We're looking for smart developers with strong computer science fundamentals and a track record of delivery, whether in previous professional roles, college or personal projects (for instance open source software contributions).
We require very strong development and analytical skills across multiple platforms and languages.
Java, Spring, Messaging, SQL DB. The team works mostly in Python and C , so experience in either of these is a plus, but not essential. However, a candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to learn and adapt to different program styles
Desired Skills:
FX and/or derivatives knowledge, Mule, Oracle, Python. As a developer within the team the successful candidate will:
? Work with traders, sales, quants and tech teams to design and deliver excellent solutions to the FX business.
? Be proactive, independent, and a self-starter
? Work in the Athena platform, JPMorgan's innovative in-house pricing and risk management system.
? Develop mostly in python with some C and Java, following established paradigms for development.
? Contribute to Athena's globally shared common code base.
? Be a core part of the team providing functionality to the business after the SRP program is complete.
