Senior Manager, Decision Science

The Senior Manager, Decision Science is a hands on role establishing structured project engagement with Product Managers to build new Artificial Intelligence products within our GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) division and improve functionality of existing products. Artificial Intelligence is a core of our company's technology strategy. We have already moved from the incubator into the real world with 3 very successful products in the marketplace.

We are searching for someone who is a creative thinker and strategist with expertise in machine learning to help drive business and disrupt the Artificial Intelligence space. You will work with a creative, intelligent team of colleagues and brainstorm new ideas to solve challenging problems that will have significant impact on our products and customers.

oAbility to analyze operational environments at a detailed level to bring forth new ideas and also be able to proactively address roadblocks to change.

oAbility to communicate using professional PowerPoint slides, backed up by rigorous factual details including operational pain points, efficiency levers and impacts to customers, employees and shareholders.

oCreate visibility into key processes; driving the development of improvement initiatives across the entire GRC organization; co-leading the implementation of improvement initiatives across GRC; continuously measuring and monitoring key processes, risks and controls; vendor professionals; participating in organizational activities to meet or exceed company objectives; and representing Wolters Kluwer within the industry.

**Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications:


Master's Degree in Operations Risk, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Market Research, Engineering or Computer Science, if no degree, 6 years of experience working within Decision Science/Change Transformation


oMinimum of 6-8 years of experience managing machine learning projects and implementations

oWorking knowledge of SAS, R, Python and willingness to learn big data technologies

oIn-depth knowledge and experience of machine learning algorithms

oExperience with Spark, Scala and Hadoop is a plus

oCommunicating recommendations and influencing stakeholders through analytics and process knowledge

oExperience in managing transformational projects

oMinimum of 5 years of significant experience in manipulating large data sets to create insights

oMinimum of 4 years of hands on research and implementation work

oMinimum of 3 recent years in strong presentation creation skills

oMinimum of 3 years working in the financial services or related industry undergoing transformational change

oMinimum of 5 years of data analytics of operational, revenue or financial data

oPerforming significant research and coalescing disparate information

oManaging cross-functional process improvement initiatives

oDeveloping relationships at all levels of an organization (including C-level executives)

oDemonstrating strong analytical and problem solving skills
