Position Responsibilities
SunGard is actively recruiting Senior Python Developers in the New York City area to join its rapidly growing Global Services Consulting Practice. These roles involve extensive development for a number of our clients to work on their trading and risk management platforms. These complex, leading-edge platforms include pricing, trading and position management, real-time P&L and risk and sensitivity analysis.

Position Requirements
Technical Skills:
. 3+ years object-oriented Python application development
. Strong object-oriented design skills
. C++ experience desirable
. Java and/or .NET experience desirable
Job Requirements:
. Application development should ideally include experience in trading and/or risk management.
. 5+ years of proven experience in a development role.
. Demonstrated Financial Services and/or Energy-Utilities Industry knowledge a plus.
. Strong analytical and requirements gathering skills.
. Ability to communicate clearly with team members and client staff.
. Previous agile development expertise preferred.
. Self motivated with an ability to stay on deadline in complex, multi-staged projects and to work on more than one project at a time.
