Responsibilities The Research Systems team supports a range of applications from custom to vendor solutions that allow Researchers to mine and forecast ratings information. The function of the Senior Systems Analyst for Research Systems is to understand business needs, drive functional and data requirements, propose solutions and manage delivery. The candidate will be in a customer facing role and part of a multi-year project to modernize a complex, legacy custom reporting application into a cutting-edge data analysis tool. This will also include management of vendor applications, defining requirements, co-coordinating business, vendor and infrastructure teams and conducting training.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with excellent communication skills and the ability to define and document clean, logical solutions for both the business and development teams. S/he should have a software development background, understand database design and have experience working with complex reporting applications and/or business intelligence tools.

Qualifications/Requirements .Entertainment industry and/or Ratings & media measurement metrics experience
.5+ years of Systems/Business Analysis and/or IT Project Management
.Thorough understanding of programming, building applications, Software Development Life Cycles and supporting custom applications
.Excellent Analytical Skills
.Excellent Communicator and Documenter
.Self-motivated and resourcefulness required in a sometimes ambiguous work environment
.Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
Desired Characteristics .3+ years of SQL scripting and/or database design experience
