This position will be located inNew York City.
 
This position leads the global advisory function of the Global Tax Department. The Global Tax Department consists of 13 in-house professionals. This position requires advising the business Segments on day to day tax and business issues, including acquisitions and divestitures. The role includes responsibility for advising on transfer pricing.  The role requires proficiency in subchapter C.  The candidate will provide technical support to the Global Compliance and Audit Group. This position reports to the Vice President, Global Tax with dotted line responsibility to Segment CFOs who will provide input to the performance evaluation.  The candidate will work directly with the VP and outside consultants on strategic tax planning.
This person will often be the Tax Department representative to the Segments and must demonstrate professionalism and judgment.  The candidate must be proficient in financial matters. The candidate must be able to distinguish between issues involving an advisory role versus those that involve policy. The candidate must have experience in working with a professional team.  Personal attributes include teamwork and collaboration as well as a strong work ethic.  Periodic travel is required.  
Required Experience

Undergraduate degree and law degree.
*
10 years experience at professional services firms including law firms and accounting firms.
*
Admitted to the Bar.  The candidate is expected to remain proficient through Company-funded continuing professional education.
