Windows Administrator / Technical Support Analyst

A Kforce client is seeking a Windows Administrator / Technical Support Analyst in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain PCs, servers, networking devices, printers, and peripherals and spare component stock
* Assist in the design process and implementation of computer systems and networks
* Maintain IT equipment through monitoring, configuring, deploying, troubleshooting, upgrading, and repairing hardware as well as checking disk space, perform clean-up / maintenance tasks on file, print, and infrastructure servers
* Monitor and maintain network and network services such as name resolution (DNS), host addressing (DHCP), and routing
* Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair network servers, switches, and other peripheral components such as printers
* Support site telecommunications equipment and connectivity
* Provide IT support for site-specific issues
* Follow-up on queued or delegated support ''tickets'' to verify satisfactory resolutions
* Update assigned issues in the Help Desk database system
* When necessary delegate issues to other appropriate IT staff members follow-up that they are completed to a satisfactory resolution
* Maintain and ensure that back-ups on all systems occur and are reported on daily
* Ensure that tape rotation and offsite storage schedule is followed
* Maintain an accurate and current inventory of installed site software licenses and compliance
* Manage maintenance for security system, HVAC, power, and fire suppression for the site IT room and entire site where appropriate
* Maintain network security; delete terminated users; change access codes; and administer share, folder, and file access permissions
* Administer network virus protection on servers and clients
* Implement and comply with site specific IT Operations business continuity plan and security policies
* Implement, maintain, and adhere to all IT policies and procedures as set by IT management
