Basic qualifications:
. Advanced scientific degree
. 5-10 years of pharmaceutical/Consumer Healthcare industry experience.
. Experience executing clinical research in consumer skin health including program planning, protocol development, study conduct, data review, and report writing
. Experience providing scientific oversight to ongoing clinical trials along with experience interpreting clinical study data and results and placing into wider context and relevance to therapeutic area
. Experience reviewing and providing input into core claims for developed products and products in development
. Experience in preparing clinical documents for regulatory submissions along with knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements for clinical studies
. Interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
. Medical degree preferred
. Experience in Dermatology therapeutic area and publication in skin health desirable
. Managerial experience preferred

We are looking for a cutting-edge candidate for the role of Medical Director, in our new Skin Health Category within Research and Development.
The Senior Medical/Medical Director, Medical Affairs Consumer role at Stiefel will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on the medical aspects of the skin health consumer products. The role includes responsibility for steering the scientific and clinical strategy for skin health consumer assets and working in strong collaboration with cross-functional partners and external collaborators. S/He will lead a team of talented and experienced clinical scientists with responsibility for medical aspects of product development, evaluation and marketing of our Skin Health products. This position requires strong technical, strategic, organizational and communication skills.
The key elements of the Senior Medical/Medical Director, Medical Affairs Consumer Senior role are:
. Lead a team of talented and experienced clinical scientists with responsibility for medical aspects of product development, evaluation and marketing of our Skin Health products.
. Actively contribute to the development of commercial strategy and ensure alignment of clinical development work with commercial and regulatory needs.
. Working cross-functionally along with Medical Affairs scientists, R&D team, Clinical Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory Affairs, Product Development and the Brand team to supervise or prepare clinical development plans in support of our Skin Health products.
. Work with the Director, Clinical Operations, and the Director, Data Management and Biostatistics to develop and implement innovative study designs to enable new and competitive claims to be made for GSK CH Skin Health products.
. Ensure that the conduct of Skin Health clinical trials meets GCP requirements and is compliant with internal SOPs.
. Seek to enhance the value of the brands through the development of new and competitive claims from existing data.
. Review scientific literature and provide clinical expertise to facilitate preparation of clinical and therapeutic strategies for the Skin Health Category.
. Demonstrate outstanding medical leadership both within the Skin Health Category and more widely across Consumer Healthcare
. Liaise with and build good working relationships with external key opinion leaders and investigators as appropriate.
. Participate in identifying new opportunities in Skin Health and reviewing them when they are presented to GSK.
. Prepare expert reports for use in product registrations or for defense against challenge.
. Keep up to date with scientific literature in appropriate areas.
. Provide clinical expertise and prepare clinical development plans.
