Are you passionate about technology, games, entertainment and software development? The Games Test Organization within Microsoft Studios is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test 2 who wants to make a big impact on the next generation of entertainment.
We are working on exciting new technology and looking for a technically strong SDET 2 to join the team and contribute to the planning, implementation and execution of test tools and automation. As an SDET 2 on the team you''ll have access to developers, source code, and a myriad of tools which will enable you to directly impact the quality, reliability and fun of the experiences we ship.
SpecificResponsibilities include:owning technical test areas, analyzing game systems, and creating and executing test automation suites and tools. You''ll find, log, and track issues (bugs) until they are resolved.
Required skills:
BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
5+ years of C#/C++ development experience
Prior experience with automation scripts, efficiency tools and business intelligence gathering/reporting
A firm understanding of testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes, an aptitude for growth
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-group collaboration skills. Ability to work independently as well as a part of large and small teams
A proven track record of shipping high quality software multiple times and a strong desire to join and influence a sustainable, high performance test culture.
An ability to innovate
Strong Candidates will also have:
Familiarity with game engines and technologies
Experience with SQL server
Leadership skills as this position may grow to over-see a small team of ICs
Previous Services testing experience
