As a Test Engineer I on our Fluke biomedical operations engineering team you will be asked to become an expert on the functionality and tests required to produce top of the line Biomedical test equipment. This candidate will work with products like infusion device analyzers, defibrillator analyzers, electrical safety analyzer, X- ray analyzers, and electrical surgical unit analyzers.

Primary Responsibilities:

oImprove internal test yields in the factory associated with producing quality product

oDecrease external quality failures associated with the products produced by Fluke Biomedical

oRedesign parts and circuits that will be going end of life

oWrite code to test that interfaces with the operators that interfaces well with human interaction

oLead kaizen and drive continuous improvement projects as it pertains to manufacturing tests and flow

oUses and/or applies basic principles, theories, and concepts

oWorks effectively with team members

oUnderstands Engineering's impact on cost of doing business

oMaintains currency of technical knowledge

oUnderstands business fundamentals, awareness of business' objectives'

oDevelops knowledge of customers and customer needs


o1-2 years of related experience

oBachelor of science in electrical engineering or a reverent subject

oPerson must be able to manage time wisely by focusing on the critical few but not losing site of long term projects and goals

oPerson must have decisions based on data and facts that drive the correct action

oMust have an understand of analog circuits

oMust have a basic understand of a programming language

oMust have and understanding of troubleshooting tree and/or a methodical problem solving mind

oMust be able to work well in a team environment and autonomously

oMust be able to manage projects of large and small scale delivered on time at cost

oMust execute fundamental engineering design/analysis under guidance of project leader

oLabVIEW test stand competency preferred

oKaizen experience preferred
