ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER

For more than 40 years, Polo''s reputation and distinctive image have been consistently developed across an expanding number of products, brands and international markets.Position Overview : The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the Finance and General Accounting needs of an Accounts Payable work group, including all Accounts Payable account reconciliations, monthly closing schedules and compliance, reporting, auditing, wire transfers and hedge analysis. The ability to provide senior management with timely and accurate reporting is necessary. Must assist with Accounts Payable processing at times and complete ad-hoc analysis/special projects as needed. The candidate provides direct support for the Director of Accounts Payable and acts on the Director-Ts behalf as needed. The Accounts Payable Manager must be able to assist the Accounts Payable team members and provide guidance and support. Additionally, this Manager is responsible for streamlining procedures, and assisting in the ongoing process improvement of the Accounts Payable team. The candidate will be expected to develop ways to improve the Accounts Payable process and experience and ensure our internal customers are satisfied with the team-Ts performance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: · All monthly, quarterly and annual close-out responsibilities related to Accounts Payable · Prepare monthly Accounts Payable related balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up as needed · Develop a monthly reporting package which includes scorecards, KPI and required reporting · Accounts Payable internal audit and SOX compliance · Accounts Payable reporting including and analysis of trends, metrics and key performance indices · Partner with team to deliver accurate and timely on all requests from customers both internal and external. · Assist in Accounts Payable processing as needed · Support and manage special cross-functional projects · Design and implement process improvement · Manage, motivate and develop a staff of Accounts Payable Associates · Liaison with department director and the business partners and internal/external auditors KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES · Possess and understanding of principles of Accounts Payable practices, using various tools for tracking and monitoring performance · Strong understanding of practical accounting concepts with the ability to reconcile various Accounts Payable General Ledger accounts · Manage and control the Accounts Payable Audit and SOX compliance program working with both internal and external auditors · Proven ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels of the organization · Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and initiative with the ability to adhere to a month-end close timeline · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Proven ability to organize multiple projects, schedules and meet shifting priorities · Ability to supervise, develop and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments · Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and customer service orientation · Results orientated, flexible, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables · Ability to work independently and adhere to tight deadlines · Proficiency in Excel and Access other Microsoft Office products including SAP Additionally, this Manager is responsible for streamlining procedures, and assisting in the ongoing process improvement of the Accounts Payable team.
