Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, accident root cause training, quarterly training and problem resolution through hands-on and classroom training.
* Perform skill assessments as well as train, coach, and mentor drivers to develop the skills necessary to become safe and successful Ruan drivers.
* Teach terminal office staff regarding safety regulations and matters.
* Interpret company policy and accurately communicate to staff and drivers.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and drivers.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required.  Associate''s or Bachelor''s Degree in Business preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience in a driver classroom instruction environment required.
* Experience as an active truck driver for 3 years;flatbed experience is perferred in addition to driving experience.
* Ability to understand, demonstrate, and explain safe vehicle operations to others.  Prior driver training experience strongly preferred.
* Must hold a valid CDL and be medically certified to drive.
* Strong knowledge of DOT rules and regulations required.
* Must have abillity to travel on a frequest basis (75%-80% of the time)
* Candidates must live in VA, MD, or PA area to be considered
