Title: Pharmacy Technician III Certified

Performs pharmacy-related work in accordance with standard policies and procedures under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and/or the Pharmacist. Participates by assisting the Pharmacist in the drug distriubiton system by interpreting medication orders, medication preparation (oral, intravenous, topicals, sterile products), billing, inventory maintenance, record keeping, controlled drug distribution, area maintenance, meidcation delivery and communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy or two years experience in a community pharmacy
Current Pharmacy Technician Registration from the California State Board of Pharmacy
Writing skills for record keeping; verbal skills for face-to-face and telephone communication; typing and computer skills; medical terminology knowledge; pharmacy calculation skills; and competency in sterile IV admixture
