SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and supervision of the professional nurse, assists patients in the psychiatric, chemical dependency or similar setting, by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3 years experience in the mental health field as a CNA or equivalent clinical position. Within the first twelve months of hire, must complete the CTRH Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training course. Current unrestricted driver license and proof of personal auto insurance required. Current CPR certification required.

SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the department Manager and supervision of the professional nurse, safely performs a variety of nursing procedures and patient care tasks. Population served by this position is all age groups.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Successful completion of nursing assistant course. Previous acute care experience preferred. Current CNA certification with Nevada State Board of Nursing required. Current BLS certification required.
