Position Summary
Responsible for the overall business management of the Center for Sleep Medicine. Manages the key business lines to increase sleep study volume and analyzes revenue and cost structure to increase overall profitability. Implements overall marketing and promotion plans to attract new referral sources and market new business lines.
Position Activities
. Business Management and Development: Responsible for overall business management of the Center for Sleep Medicine; includes developing and implementing marketing and promotion plans with the goal of attracting referrals ad new business; develops and maintains the website for the center with accurate information and updates the website on a regular basis'' analyzes current referrals patterns and devises plans to further cultivate new referrals including visiting new and existing referral groups with the goal of expanding referrals to the center; creates and maintains protocols and payment packages for VIP patients that require special attention and privacy; responsible for developing new business lines including the home sleep study business, executive sleep study packages, which will include negotiating agreements with upscale hotels to set up high end sleep studies.
. Operations and Daily Management: directly supervises and manages the operations at the sleep center, including office staff, scheduling of visits and all procedures with a goal of maximizing out capacity utilization with current resources; analyzes sleep study wait list; delegates assignments to fill nightly sleep study slots; responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities within the sleep study with the goal of organizing center activities so that the center functions at the highest level; coordinates technical and clinical staff schedules and acts as a liaison with various outside vendors; responsible for overall supervision of all non-exempt administrative staff, hires, and monitors overall performance to medical college performance standards; makes recommendation for staffing needs and monitors overall work productivity; sets goals and objectives, policies and procedures for all support staff in the sleep center; organizes secretarial staff schedules and work assignments to maximize the data sharing and information to obtain certification of sleep studies and keep the center beds filled on a nightly basis; responsible for supervising all operations at the center including utilization of or physician space and forms
. Quality Control and Improvement: responsible for coordination and maintained of sleep center accreditation standards with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; responsible for overseeing the Q/A initiatives of the sleep center and develops an action plan; prepares financial management and reports; responsible for analyzing financial statements for the center and gathers detailed information about our financial performances, reviews statements with the director on a regular basis, makes and implements recommendation for changes in business model
Minimum Requirements
. Bachelor''s degree.
. At least 5 years of medical office practice experience.
Highly Desired Requirements
. Insurance knowledge of managed care plans, third party insurance and Medicare.
. Masters Degree.
. Knowledge of IDX, EPIC system
Skill and Abilities
. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and overlapping deadlines, for individual work and delegated teams.
. Skilled in determining strengths and weaknesses in subordinate staff, and able to identify areas for growth. Demonstrated ability to coach, train and provide staff development.
. Demonstrated computer proficiency including advanced Excel skills - complex formulas and pivot tables; PowerPoint; Word; and Access.
. Demonstrated ability to meaningfully contribute value as member of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting coworkers when necessary to ensure a positive patient experience and smooth operations; including reliability and punctuality.
. Experienced in managing diverse workforce utilizing excellent communication skills.
. Must possess ability to motivate and lead groups and to deal with multiple constituencies and sensitive patient populations while maintaining professionalism, tact and discretion.
