Title: Phlebotomist II

The Phlebotomist II (PBT II), under the direction of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), is responsible for specimen procurement and dispatch. Phlebotomists are required to perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages from newborn to geriatric. The PBT II is also responsible for acting as a key-trainer to trainees. The PBT II may be assigned other relevant duties in support of the Laboratory.
REQUIREMENTS:
Recent phlebotomy experience
Completion of state approved phlebotomy class
Typing, organiziational skills, accurate data entry skills and the ability to remain calm and function efficiently during difficult or emergency situations
Current CPT1 Licensure
