CAD Designer, Land Development

We have an opportunity for a **CAD** **Designer** in our **Salt Lake City, UT** office **.** Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be the lead design professional on each land development project. The ideal candidate will be able to understand and direct all aspects of project development design jurisdictional requirements and submittals.

**Your Duties**

+ Assist project manager / project principal with client, consultant, and project team coordination on projects

+ Perform and oversee all aspects of design (grading, streets, water, sewer, storm drain, horizontal control, signage & striping plans, etc.)

+ Prepare / oversee the preparation of SWPPP documents

+ Responsible for coordinating and preparing construction documents and technical reports

+ Prepare Engineers Opinion of Probably Cost

+ Prepare Technical Specifications and Special Provisions

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**

+ Minimum 5 years civil design experience in land development

+ Proficient using Civil 3D in a design capacity: profiles, alignments, corridor modeling, layouts, pipe networks

+ Prepare final construction drawings for paving, grading, drainage, water and sewer plans for land development projects from preplat to final engineering

+ Use Civil 3D to calculate quantities and earthwork

+ Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills

+ Ability to work independently and as a team player

+ Experience dealing with public agencies in their review and approval processes. Able to pull information from public agencies and utilize them in the preparation of engineering drawings.

+ Able to prioritize work

+ Phoenix area experience preferred.

+ Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.

+ Capable of coordinating and QA/QC review of construction documents by other team members
