As a Senior Contracts Manager you will use your superior communication skills to build rapport with customers and internal business partners and proactively develop contracts. Because of ViaSat’s complex product mix, you have the opportunity to work on on a broad range of DoD, commercial and international sales contracts. You willprovide strategic input to capture contracts, handle high profile issues, draft and negotiatie advanced agreements. ViaSat’s Contracts department is the focal point in business relations and coordinates with business development managers and program managers in the proposal, negotiation and execution phases of the assigned programs. You will also employ your knowledge of procurement regulations to consult with other ViaSat departments and ensure compliance with contract and legal requirements.
Experience/Skills
Required:
•8+ years of experience negotiating and administering commercial, government and international contracts.
•Working knowledge and competency in procurement regulations and the FAR/DFARS, UCC and DCMA procurement audit compliance. Ability to apply this knowledge to prime and subcontractor situations
•Experience negotiating IDIQ contracts.
•Superior proficiency in negotiating and drafting of Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements with a keen eye to recognize and minimize company risks.
•Strong computer skills including advanced MS Word and Excel.
•U.S. Citizenship.
•Bachelor''s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
Preferred:
•MBA or JD.
