Quality Systems Supervisor

Scope:
The plant Quality Systems Supervisor provides leadership in Quality Systems for the laboratory and quality operations. This position reports to the Quality Assurance and Technical Manager for the plant. In the absence of the Quality Assurance and Technical Manager, the Quality Systems Supervisor may serve as backup.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
. Develop and maintain quality systems within the plant Quality, Processing, Production and Warehouse departments. This involves organizational development, personnel assessment, training, direction and motivation.
. Implement and maintain Quality Systems for the plant.
. Champion the Management of Change process for any equipment, process, new products and procedural changes deemed necessary by the plant team.
. Responsible for maintaining and implementation of advanced GFSI Certification.
. Provide guidance on procedures which assure product and service quality including ingredient and packaging control, product testing and clearance, product disposition system and rework control, GLP (Good laboratory Practices), HACCP, weight control, manufacturing procedures, aged inventory policy and may include systems and sanitation audits.
. Communicate and enforce Kerry standards in the areas of ingredient and product standards, process specifications, formula compliance, sanitation/GMP/pest control and regulatory compliance.
. Provide technical support working with production in the plant to trouble shoot and address process issues and customer complaint corrective actions.
. Investigate and introduce opportunities for new technology and efficiencies in the Quality function.
. Attend all safety meetings, report any safety incidents/accidents and understand and follow all Company and Plant Safety policies and Procedures.
. Member of the HACCP team. Reviews and maintains HACCP Program.
. May serve as backup for the SQF Practitioner.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year-college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HACCP Certification preferred
SQF 2000 Certification preferred
Attendance of Better Processing School preferred
