Description
This temporary position is for college students interested in gaining valuable work experience and knowledge in the area of financial services. This position is responsible for providing superior customer service while processing transactions and answering questions from existing and prospective customers, as well as identifying qualified referrals to other lines of business.
Summer Position 
Position Accountabilities
. Perform the following paying and receiving functions: receive checks and cash for
  deposits, verify the amounts of deposits, examine checks for proper
  endorsements, cash checks and pay out money according to the Bank's cash
  handling policies and procedures, enter customers' transactions into the
  computer system to record transactions, issue computer generated receipts, and
  accept and process loan payments.
. Place hold on deposits as necessary.
. Identify red flags to detect fraud and prevent losses to the Bank.
. Balance cash each day according to established schedule and performance
  standards.
. May remove deposits from the ATM and night depository as well as open,
  replenish or balance branch's ATM according to policies, procedures, and
  established schedule.
. Research and respond to customer inquiries regarding basic account information
  as needed.
. Promote and sell the bank's products and services such as cashier's checks,
  traveler's checks, and savings bonds.
. Participate in the Bank's Customer Relationship Profitability Management
  Program (CRPM) by identifying customers' needs and refer to other branch
  teammates as well as other lines of business such as Mortgage, Investments,
  Insurance, Small Business, and Commercial Lending.
. May provide assistance to Lead Teller during peak periods or staffing
  emergencies.
. Compile reports as needed.
. Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations,
  including compliance with Union First Market Bankshares' BSA/AML Policy and
  Procedures.
Organizational Relationship
This position reports to the Lead Teller/Branch Manager.
Requirements Education & Experience
.Must be at least 18 years old
.High school diploma or GED
.Enrollment in an accredited college or university preferred
.Previous cash handling experience in a retail environment a plus
.Must be available to work a 40 hours week with hours ranging between 07:00am and 07:00pm; Monday through Saturday
