This role is responsible for leading the external communications team for the Enterprise Group as it relates to media and analyst relations as well as social media influencers. Key responsibilities include all aspects of PR/AR activities including strategic messaging, programs/campaigns, announcements, new product introductions, customer successes, events, partner activities, and competitive programs. Success is the ability to increase HP's mind share as a leader in Converged Infrastructure and a thought leader in the enterprise space.
From a leadership perspective, they will also be required to develop and maintain a sense of community and cohesiveness among their staff. It will be their responsibility to reinforce the company's core values, standards of business conduct, developing their people and providing candid and honest feedback. Through a process of developing a culture of encouraging and celebrating success and achievement, they will improve both morale and motivation, encouraging pride in HP.
Some of the functions, they and their team are responsible for:
o Work in partnership with the Business Units to drive and execute a successful communications strategy for these important influencer communities
o Press liaison and relations
o Analyst liaison and relations
o Social media activities to drive positive positioning with influencers
o Proactively promote HP services and Point of View to the media and analysts
o Develop, recommend and implement strategies to handle launches and media enquiries, and analyst briefings
o Establish a relationship with a comprehensive list of relevant reporters, editors, producers, and columnists
o Establish a productive relationship with the leading analysts that support the EG businesses
o Handle the management of outside public relations vendors as necessary
o PR & AR Budget management

o Articles Published
o Proactive pitching results
o Qualitative scoring based on set criteria
Analysts
o HP SOV in published reports
o Tracking HP customer discussions with analysts
o Analyst event metrics
Qualifications
o Min. 10 years of internal and/or external communications experience, ideally in a corporate environment specifically around executive communications
o Bachelor''s degree or higher in a related field
o Previous experience managing employees
o Enthusiastic, energetic employee focused leader
o Demonstrated ability to think like analysts and the media
o Demonstrated ability to build strategic social media plans for influencers.
o Demonstrated ability to build strategic relations analysts and media
o Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver
o Ability to think strategically to consistently raise the bar of a teams performance
