Responsibilities
*
Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for design and development of complex networking products, platforms, systems, software, and technology across multiple engineering disciplines, platforms, Global Business Units, and the company at large.
*
Coordinates and leads participation in SDN networking industry standards, attending and leading working groups and driving standards in alignment with business and product requirements.
*
Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision-making at the highest organizational levels.
*
Provides consultationand training on SDN standards, design input, and feedback for new product development and design reviews across multipleR&Dorganizationsand industry partners.
*
Guides and mentors less-experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.
*
Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor''s, Master''s or PHD degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
* Minimum 15 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
*
Industry expert regarding enterprise networking solution architectures, product design, and product development.
*
Broad knowledge of enterprise network design, deployment, and operation.
*
History of innovation withmultiple examples of developing industry-leading technologiesand practices for designs.
*
Experience contributing to and driving network industry open standards.
*
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.
*
Designing and integrating technologies, solutions, and practices into overall product architecture.
*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.
