Primary Objective(s)
As a Senior Software Engineer at FindLaw, you will build internal and external web-based
applications and tools. This position requires front-end web building
experience. This position requires strong client-side programming skills, and
will be responsible for enhancing and building out our front-end UI, using
Javascript/JQuery, Ajax, CSS, JSON and HTML5.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will take ownership
of the software throughout the entire development process.

Key Responsibilities
* Work
with both business partners and project leads to gather and analyze business requirements
and translate them into technical tasks
* Develop
and support web based applications using JSON, XML, JavaScript and CSS.
* Work
as part of a team to develop a crowdsourcing infrastructure to support
Findlaw's social media products
* Contribute
to the software design orlead the design of less complex
components
* Create,
review, and maintain all required technical documentation/ manuals related to
assigned software to ensure supportability and reuse
* Review
work of peers and more junior developers
* Participate
in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development
requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates
of work

Qualifications:

Minimum
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Computer Science, Math or Physics
Experience
* 5
years of related experience
* Strong,
hands-on experience with dynamic front-end technologies HTML5, JavaScript,
JSON, CSS, AJAX frameworks.
* Extensive
experience dealing with cross-browser compatibility
* Demonstrated
experience with web applications.
* Ideal
candidate would have experience with server side technology also. Experience with Java, JSP, Perl, Groovy, Solr
and Database is big plus.
