Engineering Technology - Non-Tenure Track Faculty Vacancy Pool
About the Position:The Department of Engineering Technology maintains a vacancy pool of qualified persons interested in temporary, non-tenure track teaching positions. The positions are usually part-time, with occasional opportunities for full-time appointments.  Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.  
About the Department:All of the programs within the Engineering Technology Department emphasize practical, "hands-on" laboratory experiences in addition to strong theoretical course work.  Laboratory exercises and projects are important components of most classes.  The Engineering Technology Department's extensive laboratory facilities are housed in the Ross Engineering Technology Building. 
Position Responsibilities:The Department, the College, and the University value teaching and seek exemplary teachers who are current in their discipline, who will actively engage students in their own learning, and who will comply with departmental guidelines and standards regarding course objectives, content, instructional format, and level of challenge. We expect students to be given feedback on their course work and examinations, and that adjunct faculty members will be available to students through regularly scheduled office hours.
Required Qualifications:
* B.S. degree in a related discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
* Recent, relevant industry experience
* M.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology
* Prior related experience at Western Washington University
* Successful teaching experience
* Demonstrated experience and skills working with a diverse population of students, faculty and staff
