About this jobResponsibilities:
The I&C Engineer will review and develop P&ID's and control/protection strategies; support PHA/LOPA analysis; support Process Engineers during SIF identification and Target SIL determination; coordinate SIS requirements with end users and clients; develop Safety Requirements Specifications; communication of safety requirements to detailed design teams; select and design SIS hardware and software to meet requirements; integrate instruments and control systems with DCS, PLC, and SIS; perform SIL verification calculations and prepare safety lifecycle documentation; develop SIS proof test, operation, maintenance and validation procedures; prepare SIS operator and maintenance training materials; support Functional Safety Assessment activities; support FAT, SAT and installation, construction and commissioning activities.

Duties
Qualifications:
Position requires a B.S. in Electrical, Chemical or related engineering discipline
12 + years combined experience in instrumentation, control systems and safety instrumented systems (SIS) in petrochemical industries, and an in-depth understanding of all phases of the SIS life cycle, including applicable ISA/IEC standards. CFSE, TUV or ISA SIS certification is desirable but not required.
