Job Description:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in the provision of hospice nursing care and participating as a member of the interdisciplinary group under the direction of a registered nurse/ licensed practical nurse as defined by Standards for the Certified Nursing Assistant {(OAR 851-60-000-851-60-800) Nurse Practice Act (10/97)} and the CMS Hospice Conditions of Participation Hospice Aide 418.76. The CNA provides assistance to patient care by providing and documenting activities of daily living including personal hygiene and grooming; a clean, healthy and safe environment; basic infection control procedures; basic nutrition and fluid intake; recognition of emergency and response with emergency procedures. The CNA follows established standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of a Board approved nursing assistant training program.
Licensure/Certification:
Current CNA 2 (Acute Care) required. CPR certification required.
