Description

Job Description:
The Software Development Associate Engineer will conduct development and testing for communication systems utilizing Windows- and/or Unix-based operating systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work from existing design specifications to implement, test and document software for communication systems and/or subsystems.
* Operate effectively and comfortably in a team environment
* Work closely with team members and manager to gain technical experience.
* Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
* Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
* Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
* Perform other duties as required
* Able to obtain/retain a government security clearance
Skills and Experience:
* 0 to 2 years of experience in software engineering and development for communications systems or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
* Familiar with software engineering process concepts from requirements reviews, code inspection to component delivery and sign-off
* Familiar with development in either Windows- or Unix-based operating systems
* Knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Minimum Education and Training:
* Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, EE or related technical field from a four-year college or university
* 0 to 2 years of experience in software engineering and development for communications systems
* Or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
