Job Title 2013 Summer Internship Program - Tampa
Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities New York Life's 2013 Summer Internship Program is scheduled from May 20 - August 9, 2013. The program helps develop a talent pipeline to secure the highest caliber of entry-level candidates for New York Life.
Summer interns will attend an orientation to learn about New York Life, its policies and procedures, and their role in the organization. Interns will also attend classes and other development sessions throughout the 12-week internship.
The purpose of the program is to:
.provide an experience for students in which they can contribute to the businesses while learning about New York Life and career opportunities after graduation, and
.further the business objectives of New York Life by employing students who add value during their internship and may be potential candidates for full-time employment following graduation.

Required Qualifications The criteria for becoming a summer intern are designed to identify the most qualified candidates for the 2012 Program.
To be considered, students must:
.be entering their senior year at an accredited college or university,
.have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better,
.have assumed leadership roles or significantly contributed to campus or community extracurricular activities,
.preferably be majoring in Liberal Arts, Biology, or Computer Science.
