All candidates with AUTOMOTIVE electrical design experience are encouraged to apply.Job Location: 213 Harry Walker Parkway South, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8T3.Position: Product Engineer-ElectricalDescription:- Design products utilizing engineering principles. Apply best practices, lessons learned and innovative design techniques to achieve a reliable product at a competitive price.- Utilize, (co)generate and update Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, produceblock diagrams and Schematic designs based on functional specifications, conduct worst case circuit analysis, circuit simulation(s), perform tolerance stack up analyses (linear, RMS or Monte Carlo as required), support PCB layout activities, facilitate prototype builds and drive Product Verification to customer delivery.- Participate in the building and construction of assemblies in prototype stages. Assist in coordinating builds and shipments to support the team and the customer.- Generate, check and approve necessary engineering documentation required for material procurement and quality assurance of products designed. All documentation to be controlled through Engineering Change Notice (ECN) procedure. (Drawings (assembly and component), schematics, Bill(s) of Materials, specifications etc.)- Maintain intimate working knowledge of program master timeline and its relation to engineering deliverables. Follow Product Development Process and generate necessary documentation to support the successful execution of Phase Sign Off's.- Develop and/or co-develop engineering test fixtures that sufficiently evaluate products and their respective performance.- Customer interface, when required, Travel to customer locations.- Pursue professional development through training, solicit feedback on performance and utilize constructive criticism towards improvement.- Maintain proficiency with software packages such as: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project and available relevant CAD packages required for the efficient execution of one's job function (i.e. AutoCAD, MathCAD, etc).Requirements:- Bachelor of Science (EE or Physics) with 8-10 years work experience desired- Automotive Electronics Design Experience- Experience with electrical module circuit design at the PCB level- Analog circuit design, and digital circuit design- Worst case circuit analysis- Circuit simulation (i.e. using PSpice or other simulation tools)- TS quality system knowledge an asset- Intermediate to advanced skills on CAD software, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project- Motor control system design an asset- Previous work with Automotive OEM's- Action-oriented who can work under minimal supervisionJob Location: 213 Harry Walker Parkway South, Newmarket, ON, L3Y 8T3.Join Aerotek Commercial Staffing®.
